    Before connecting the Askey router, be sure to disconnect power to your cable modem, and also disconnect power to the new Askey router. Connect the ethernet cable from the cable modem to the yellow connector on the Askey router first, while modem power is off. When you are ready, turn on power to the cable modem first, wait about 10 seconds, and then turn on power to the Askey router.
